PiKTrix is the ultime 'Sample Instruments Collector Tool' by Midi Mobiles. For create your own soundbank, all you have to do is list the sounds using a small utility integrated into the PiKTrix interface in ~patch.pkt and ~pitch.txt files (pitch modifications on the corresponding lines).
PiKTrix comes in 2 versions Ony and Qi-Rack. If the first is a simple version having only common functions of PiKTrix, the second is a version more focused on experimentations and sound design thanks to the master effects (Flanger / Phaser / Delay / Reverb) coupled with the Fader Morph (gradual passage from one sound configuration to another A or B).
The Morph Fader integrates just as well the control of the Master FX as the EQ / ADSR / Volume / Stereo Phase / Pan / FiltoDrag ...
Both versions are accompanied by a FiltoDrag, Envelope generator of creative filters to boost the sound or even play with the pitch.
The robust arpeggiator integrated into the Qi-Rack is not to be outdone with the possibility of recording a configuration of notes pressed 'Hold' on each patch and quite extensive settings such as the execution mode of the arpeggios in Up / Down / Alternate1 / Alternate2, the Rate and number of octaves ...
4 sound banks accompany the project :
- Amstrad CKX100 (16bit-mono)
- Pataphysis [Essential] (16bit-44khz)
- Pataphysis II [Deluxe] (24bit-44khz stereo)
- Mellowtron & Polytron (16bit/24bit-44khz mono)
- Yamaha RX11 - RX15 (8bit-16bit-mono-stereo)
You also have the possibility of creating your own custom soundbanks yourself thanks to an 'Instrument_Maker.bat' module (with sounds possibly arranged according to the title of the note)
PiKTrix est actually in beta version 1.82 although incomplete, the functionality is already quite extensive. The project was registered for the KVR DC2021 but was too inacheved for deserve a better ranking! Do not hesitate to take a quick look ;-)

_ First Preset/Patch : 'Welcome' is now a "welcome patch" with one sound of all patches in one. You can use 'Bloc Note' function for have a coarse preview of that it can sound when you have all the sounds... Of course, the instruments are better with all them sounds but these samples are already delivered with the software ! (you must just now download separately 'Amstrad CKX100 [Essential] 16bit-mono.rar' & 'Pataphysis [Essential] 16bit-44khz.rar')
_ No 'Custum_List' in all Plugins version (just a 'Root.txt' file. Custum_List are now the same in 32 & 64 bit versions localized in "PiKTrix 'Sample Instruments Collector Tool'\Module\Custum_List")
_ Randomize in Arp module of PiKTrix_Qi-Rack_32 version (like already existed in 64 bit version)
_ You can now use more than 32 occurence (32 max tested) PiKTrix Ony in your DAW (32 bit & 64 bit versions)
_ You can have up to 128 sounds for a instruments in 32 bit versions and 96 on 64 bits versions (system lightening) with extended pitch in 64 bit versions in lower and higher range (out of line 13 - 103)
_ Gui audio modules in 64 bits versions (must be reactivated when you reload them in your DAW by bring the ONY 64 plugins to the fore)
_ Possibility to change Layers color in Qi-Rack version (experimental color palette in hexadecimal RGB & transparency)
_ More CPU Friendly
_ Clear Keyboard or White Keyboard in all versions (click to PiKTrix Logo for choose the options)
_ And a lot of minor bug have been fix...
PiKTrix Soundbank [Deluxe Version] is not necessary and has been deleted !
